Flowers: Compact trusses of 2-3* funnel shaped, hose-in-hose, purplish red flowers, 20mm long x 23mm wide

Foliage: Evergreen, dimorphic. Spring leaves are elliptic to elliptic-obovate, rich green and hairy; these will drop during autumn/winter. Summer leaves are smaller, glossy green; upper surface lightly covered with adpressed hairs; bristle-toothed margins and are evergreen

Other Information: *Register states 2-3 (-6) flowers; this is most likely to be the result of two adjacent terminal buds contributing 3 flowers each to the (-6). This is a naturally occurring Kurume azalea hybrid. Commercially available
